fistPerhaps it was a concerted attempt to make a visible step towards the left in the face of the Labour Party’s upcoming General Election defeat. Or perhaps they were just being a bit clueless. Hi,I know it’s a while since you posted this but I’ve just come across it and I’m a terrible pedent. That’s an old feminist symbol from the 70′s and those Labour Students probably were unaware of any swp connection if any .Not that they or the swp would care either way.

To the best of my knowledge, although feminists used fists, that particular symbol with the odd triangle is an IS fist. At least, I have never seen it employed by feminists and a myriad of different fists – but not that particular one – appear with a Google search of feminism.
